Our house is owned by eight cats. We, the three
`two-legged´ cats are welcome guests, especially if our furry friends
demand food, a clean litterbox or their toys (that are stuck under the
cupboards again).
Once upon a time ... A little persian felt very
lonely, though his `can opener´ and her little daughter spent a lot of
time with him. His human family went on vacation and got to know a lot
of portugese siamese cats, which can often be found in the normal cat
population there.

Timmy´s family fell in love with the blue eyes and the playful and affectionate
character of these felines and they thought that such an active cat would
be exactly the right companion for the grumpy persian. The decision was
made to look for a responsible breeder after the vacation and to make
an end to Timmy´s loneliness.
We got Timmy in 1989 when he was approximately half a year of age and
we found him in the local animal shelter. Despite his short life, he had
already survived a big adventure. He was brought to Germany from Roumania
in a car, together with a little siamese and three puppies. The driver
exposed the car to the sun, though it was a hot and sunny day - and went
away. Some pedestrians heared the whining animals in the trunk compartment
and called the police. When the driver wanted to pick up his cats and
dogs, he was told that he had to pay a considerable fine and disappeared
promptly.

Then Maurice, a lilac point siamese became part of our family and he
managed to permanently change the grumpy persian into a pseudo-siamese
with a remarkable temperament. Two years later Maurice still was not neutered
and he did not spray. In the meantime I decided that I would like to have
a litter, a `natural´ wish as I work as a midwife ... and I began to look
for a suitable female cat . I only wanted a litter once - I thought!

I found `Merline´ in Gesine Wolf´s cattery. She was half a year old and
therefore could move into our home immediately. My wish to have a litter
once changed into a real enthusiasm - about general information on cats,
genetics, knowledge about infections and inherited diseases. With all
this information I hope to be able to provide a good foundation for a
long and healthy life of our kittens.
